What People Come to Nutrition Coaching For
Most clients want help making food choices that match a specific goal. Paul starts with yours and builds coaching around it.
Lose Weight
Set a realistic calorie and protein target, improve meal structure, and build habits that support steady fat loss while still eating normal meals at home, at work, and in restaurants.
Build Muscle
Dial in protein, calories, and meal timing so your food supports strength training and recovery — with clear targets for how much to eat and when.
Eat for Better Health
Improve food quality, portions, and consistency to support blood pressure, cholesterol, energy, and long-term health — alongside the guidance you already get from your doctor.
Fuel Your Training
Match your nutrition to your training schedule so you have better energy, recovery, and performance for Fitness Classes, strength work, running, HYROX Classes, or personal training.
How Nutrition Coaching Works
Nutrition Coaching is private, one-on-one counseling with Paul. You meet by Zoom, review what you are eating now, and leave each session with clear next steps.
Book a Session
Choose a single session or ongoing monthly coaching. Before your first meeting, think through your goal, typical meals, schedule, and what feels hardest right now.
Review Your Current Diet
Paul looks at what you eat, when you eat, and where the plan breaks down. Together you identify the changes most likely to move your goal forward.
Build Your Plan
You leave with practical guidance: calorie and protein targets when useful, meal and snack ideas, grocery direction, prep strategy, and habits to practice between sessions.
Follow Up and Adjust
Ongoing sessions review what happened in real life, solve obstacles, and update the plan so it keeps working when travel, work, family, or training schedules change.
What Paul Coaches On
Private sessions draw on a structured coaching library built over years of one-on-one work. You get the topics that match your goal — meal structure, food choices, real-life eating, and training fuel — tailored to your food, schedule, and preferences.
Build Better Meals
- 5 Elements Rule — protein, starch, healthy fat, vegetables, and fruit in every meal.
- Calorie and protein targets tuned to your goal and training schedule.
- Glycemic load and carb quality for steadier energy through the day.
Choose Better Food
- Food quality beyond calorie counting — omegas, fiber, and nutrition density.
- Clean eating and label reading so grocery trips support your plan.
- Calorie density and meal tuning when progress stalls or life gets busy.
Make It Work in Real Life
- Fast meals and batch prep for weeks when cooking time is limited.
- Restaurant and takeout choices that fit your targets and preferences.
- Travel, workdays, and shopping systems that keep habits consistent.
Train Hard & Stay Consistent
- Fueling for Fitness Classes, strength work, running, and HYROX Classes.
- Recovery nutrition, hydration, and supplements when they support your goal.
- Goals, habit tracking, and the 22 Rules meal review for long-term consistency.
Paul customizes each lesson to your diet and helps you improve systematically. The same approach has worked for hundreds of clients.

Nutrition Coaching FAQ
Can I do this online if I do not live near Alexandria?
Yes. Nutrition Coaching is available nationwide by Zoom.
What should I prepare before my session?
Bring your goal, a few days of typical meals, foods you like and dislike, your training schedule, and the nutrition issue you most want help with. The more specific you are, the more specific the plan can be.
Will I get a meal plan?
Depending on your goal, Paul may give you sample meals, meal templates, grocery direction, portions, or targets. The focus is building a plan you can follow in your real routine.
Do I have to track calories or macros?
It depends on your goal. Tracking can help with weight loss or muscle gain, but coaching can also focus on portions, meal structure, food quality, habits, and consistency.
Can coaching help with blood pressure, cholesterol, or similar health goals?
Paul coaches general wellness nutrition: food quality, portions, protein, vegetables, hydration, and sustainable habits that support those goals. Work with your doctor on labs, medications, and medical treatment. Nutrition Coaching complements medical care; it does not replace it.
Is InBody included?
InBody scans are a separate service. Local clients may book them if they want body-composition data, but they are optional for online nutrition coaching.
Is Nutrition Lab currently offered?
Nutrition Lab is not currently offered. The current service is private nutrition coaching with Paul.
How does Paul use AI?
Paul may use AI-assisted preparation to organize client information and draft detailed recommendations faster. He reviews, edits, and coaches every plan personally.
Is this medical nutrition therapy?
Nutrition Coaching is general wellness and performance coaching. Paul is not a registered dietitian and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for medical conditions. If you need medical nutrition therapy, work with a qualified medical provider or registered dietitian.
