Who Rehab Training Is For

Rehab Training is built for people dealing with pain, restricted movement, or return-to-sport challenges who want targeted assessment and corrective coaching.

Chronic Tightness & Mobility Restrictions

If you’ve tried stretching and foam rolling and still can’t move freely, a structured assessment identifies exactly which tissues are restricted and why β€” and builds a targeted plan to address them.

Injury Recovery & Re-injury Prevention

Recover smarter from shoulder, back, hip, knee, or ankle injuries. Sessions address both pain reduction and the underlying movement patterns that led to injury in the first place.

Runners & Endurance Athletes

Running-specific rehab for knee pain, IT band issues, Achilles problems, plantar fasciitis, and hip imbalances. Return to mileage safely with corrective drills built around your gait.

Fitness Test Prep (FLETC, Army, FBI, Military)

Prepare your body for the physical demands of federal and military fitness tests β€” functional strength, mobility, and durability training to meet standards safely.

Chronic Conditions (MS, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia)

Structured movement work for people managing chronic neurological or pain conditions. Programming is adapted to your capacity with a focus on improving function and quality of life.

Seniors & Older Adults

Maintain independence, improve balance, and stay active as you age. Rehab Training builds the strength and mobility foundation that keeps older adults training confidently and safely.

Common Treatment Areas

Paul has 12+ certifications in mobility and rehabilitation. Rehab Training sessions cover the full body β€” here are the most common areas treated.

Shoulder

SLAP tears, rotator cuff sprains, limited shoulder flexion, shoulder instability, and impingement.

Elbow & Wrist

Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, wrist stiffness, and restricted range of motion from overuse or desk work.

Lower Back

Sciatica, disc issues, chronic lower back tightness, and pain that limits training or daily function.

Neck

Neck tightness, stiffness, and pain β€” often linked to posture patterns, desk work, or restricted thoracic mobility.

Hip

Hip impingement (FAI), limited hip mobility, hip flexor tightness, and poor hip mechanics under load.

Knee, Ankle & Foot

Runner’s knee, non-specific knee pain, ankle soreness, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and restricted dorsiflexion.

What Is Rehab Training?

Rehab Training is assessment-driven coaching for pain and movement dysfunction.

Paul identifies where your pain originates, mobilizes restricted tissue, tests how muscles are firing, and builds a corrective exercise plan around your specific limitations.

Most sessions combine mobility work and therapy-style corrective exercises keyed to the particular problems and movement patterns you’re experiencing. You leave every session with written notes and recommended exercises to practice on your own.

How a Rehab Training Session Works

Every session is different because every client is different. The general flow is structured to identify problems before treating them.

1. Assessment

Paul tracks pain signals to their source β€” where it hurts and why. Functional movement screening identifies restrictions and compensation patterns.

2. Mobilization

Targeted techniques to open restricted joints and release tight tissues β€” FRC, Kinstretch-style work, and manual cuing matched to your restrictions.

3. Muscle Testing

Identifies which muscles are underperforming or compensating β€” so you train the tissues that need support and rebuild stronger patterns.

4. Corrective Exercise

Loaded movement calibrated to your current capacity. Progressively strengthens weak links while protecting healing structures.

5. Recovery

Breathing, nervous system downregulation, and recovery work to help your body absorb the session and reduce post-treatment soreness.

6. Take-Home Notes

You’ll receive written notes and recommended exercises after every session β€” so the progress you make in the gym continues at home.

“I’m 55 and joined with an injured rotator cuff, tennis elbow, knee pain, and lower back pain β€” all from 1–5 years prior and failed YouTube rehab. Today, every injury is healed. Not only that, but I now know how to prevent and heal them in the future. Thanks to Paul!”

Rehab Training FAQ

How is Rehab Training different from physical therapy?

Physical therapists are licensed medical providers working from diagnosis-based protocols, often with insurance billing. Paul’s Rehab Training sessions are assessment-driven coaching sessions β€” they complement PT, fill the gap when PT ends, or serve clients who want expert mobility and corrective work outside the clinical setting. Paul holds 12+ certifications in mobility and rehabilitation methods including FRC and Functional Movement. He is not a licensed PT and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

Do I need a doctor’s referral or clearance?

No referral is required to start. However, if you have a recent injury, post-surgical situation, or complex medical condition, we encourage you to book a consult first so Paul can review your history and confirm Rehab Training is the right fit for your situation.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the complexity and duration of your issue. Acute tightness or a single problem area may resolve in 2–4 sessions. Chronic pain or post-injury recovery typically benefits from ongoing monthly care. Paul will give you an honest assessment after your first session.

Can I do Rehab Training while in physical therapy?

Yes β€” many clients use Rehab Training to bridge the gap between PT discharge and full return to sport or strength training. Paul will coordinate with your PT protocol and not duplicate or contradict active medical treatment.

How is Rehab Training different from Personal Training?

Personal Training focuses on building strength, conditioning, and performance β€” it assumes a baseline of healthy movement. Rehab Training focuses on restoring that baseline first: reducing pain, identifying movement dysfunction, and rebuilding proper mechanics. Many clients transition from Rehab Training to Personal Training once they’re cleared for loading.

What is the difference between the single session and the monthly plan?

The single session expires in 30 days β€” a one-time appointment if you want to try Rehab Training first. The 2Γ— Monthly plan is ongoing month-to-month care with two private sessions every four weeks. It requires 30 days’ notice to cancel and unused sessions do not roll over. See the pricing section for current options.
